Privacy policy

This policy explains what personal data TET Sadhana ("we", "us", the app and tetsadhana.com) collects, why, and what rights you have, under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act).
Who this is for
TET Sadhana is built for adult exam candidates. The app is intended for users 18 years of age and older. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
Data we collect
- Google account details: your name, email address and Google account ID (UID), from "Sign in with Google" — our only sign-in method.
- Study progress: answers, mastery levels, streaks, mock-test scores and similar in-app activity.
- Device identifiers, for security: an app-scoped install identifier (not your IMEI or phone number) and Play Integrity verdicts, used to protect purchases and group features from abuse.
- Purchase records: which products you bought, purchase tokens and order IDs, needed to grant and verify entitlements and to meet tax record-keeping requirements.
- Crash and analytics data: via Firebase Crashlytics and Google Analytics for Firebase — app version, device model, OS version, crash logs, and usage events such as screens opened, practice sessions and mock tests completed (with scores in broad bands) and purchases made. These are linked to a random account ID, never to your name, email or answers. You can turn analytics off any time in Settings → Share usage analytics.
- Problem reports: the question and note you submit when you tap "Report a problem".
- Feedback: the message, topic and app area you send from "Send feedback", and whether you agreed to be contacted about it.
- Website visits: tetsadhana.com uses Google Analytics (with cookies) to count visits, the pages viewed and clicks such as "Download" — with advertising features and Google signals turned off. You can block it with your browser's cookie or tracker settings; the site works the same without it.
Why we collect it
- To create and operate your account, and sync your progress across your devices.
- To compute mastery, scheduling and your predicted score on your device.
- To verify and grant purchases, and to prevent fraud and purchase/account abuse.
- To run study groups, if you join or create one (only your display name, streak and weekly XP are visible to group members).
- To diagnose crashes and understand aggregate feature usage, so we can fix problems.
- To respond to problem reports and support requests.
- To meet legal obligations, including tax record-keeping.
Who processes your data
We use a small number of service providers (data processors) to run TET Sadhana. We do not sell your data to anyone.
- Google (Firebase & Play) — authentication, database, cloud functions, crash reporting, analytics and push notifications, and (if purchased through Play) billing.
- Payment gateway (Cashfree or Razorpay) — for purchases made directly (outside Play), to process UPI/card payments. We do not store your card or UPI details.
- Cloudflare — hosting for this website, APK downloads and content delivery.
Retention
We keep your account and progress data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete your personal data within a reasonable time, except records we must keep by law — for example, purchase and invoice records, which are retained for the period required under Indian tax law (currently up to 8 years for GST-related records).

No sale of data
We do not sell or rent your personal data to third parties. We do not run advertising, and there is no advertising SDK in the app.

If we make material changes, we will update the date at the top of this page and, for significant changes, notify you in the app.
